The Processed Details Page displays the results of files processed with facial recognition using the Process, Trim and Process, or Manual Face ID options. You have the ability to review results, mark individuals as case suspects, and add unknown faces to your People of Interest database to identify them in the current file and when future files are processed.

a. Matched Faces: Matched Faces shows people in the selected database(s) who were determined to be a potential match to a correlating reference image.

b. Images: Displays a list of reference images captured during the face detection step. These images are used to compare against faces in the database. Each reference image is clickable and exposes a list of Potential Matches

c. Filter: Narrow the list of Potential Matches by filtering on attributes such as gender, race, age, height, and hair color. By default, all options are selected or set to maximum ranges. Potential Matches update immediately to reflect filter changes.

Note: Filter options apply to Potential Matches only. Reference images in the left column do not change.

d. Potential Matches: The system presents the most similar identities of faces recognized as possible database matches to the reference image. Potential Matches are displayed in order of highest Certainty. Each Potential Match record includes the following information and actions:

  • ID photo from the database
  • First and last names
  • Color-coded percentage of the Certainty/likelihood that the person matches the reference image (80–100% green, 50–79% yellow, 0–49% red)
  • Name of the database where the person was identified
  • View Details: Opens the Suspect Record details found in the database.
  • Add as Suspect: Marks the person as a suspect in the case. Once identified as a suspect, a green checkmark displays on the individual’s thumbnail image and they appear under the Suspects tab of the case.
  • Remove Suspect: Unmarks the person as a suspect and remove them from the case suspect list.

e. Unknown Faces: Faces detected in the media file that do not match anyone in the database display under the Unknown Faces tab. Individuals in this list can be manually identified and added to your agency’s People of Interest database. Manually identified face images display at the top of the Unknown Faces list in addition to under the Matched Faces tab as both a reference image and potential match.

f. Reprocess Evidence: Reprocess the file to help identify the Unknown Faces manually added to your People of Interest database. Note: A reprocessed file replaces the original processed file. The original processed file and its results are deleted from the system and cannot be retrieved.

IDentify an Unknown Face

Unknown faces that you recognize can be manually identified and added to your agency's People of Interest database. Once an unknown face is added to the database, the person's name displays beneath the thumbnail image and the thumbnail moves to the top of the list. Additionally, the person shows under Matched Faces tab as both a reference image and potential match. The thumbnail image used to identify the person serves as the database ID image and is used to identify the person when future files are processed. After adding unknown faces, it's recommended to reprocess the file to find updated database matches.

Note: It's important to use only one image to identify and add a person to your People of Interest database. If multiple images of the person display in the Unknown Faces list, choose the clearest, forward-facing image.
