Using a Wildcard

A wildcard search can be used to discover assets when you cannot remember exactly what they are called, but you can remember part of the asset's name or other associated metadata. Wildcards are special characters that stand in for unknown characters in a text value and are useful for locating multiple items with similar, but not identical data. For example, searching for *plan* will return a result with asset names (or other associated metadata) containing the characters "plan", such as "Airplane".

  1. Enter your text into the search bar placing an asterisk (*) at each end of it. Press enter

  2. Your search results page will display all related assets in line with your selected Sort by: display option
