DMH can display Simple and Advanced video players in the asset's detail page. If you have sub-clipping feature permissions activated in your account then the Advanced video player will display (otherwise the Simple video player is used).

Simple Video Player

Standard Controls

  1. Play/Pause: will start or stop video playback
  2. Volume: clicking the icon will toggle audio on or off and hovering the icon will display a slider for adjusting the output
  3. Cursor Time: hovering the progress bar will show the associated MM:SS (minutes:seconds) value
  4. Playhead Time: when the cursor is hovering the progress bar the playhead MM:SS value is displayed
  5. Time Remaining: the MM:SS remaining before the end of the video
  6. Full Screen: clicking will play the video across the entire screen

Other functions:

  • Clicking a point on the progress bar will advance the playhead to that position
  • The playhead can be dragged across the process bar to vary the speed of the playback. Responsiveness is dependent on the amount of video cached in the browser

Advanced Video Player

Standard Controls

  1. Play/Pause: will start or stop video playback
  2. Fast Forward: will increase the playback speed 4x
  3. Playhead Time: the playhead time value
  4. Duration: displays the duration of the video
  5. Time Format: will update the time displays to reflect timecode or seconds
  6. Time Format Preference: will make the current time format the preferred display for other assets
  7. Playhead Jumper: will advance the playhead by frame or second increments
  8. Cursor Time: hovering the progress bar will show the associated time value

Clipping and Volume Controls

  1. Set In/Out Points: will mark the current playhead position as the In or Out point for the selection
  2. Go to In/Out Points: will advance the playhead to the time saved to the In or Out point
  3. Play Selection: will play the selection defined by the In and Out points
  4. Clear Selection: will clear the In and Out values
  5. Volume: clicking the icon will toggle audio on or off and hovering the icon will display a slider for adjusting the output

Other Functions

  1. Playhead Input: will advance the playhead to a specific timecode or second
  2. Clicking a point on the progress bar will advance the playhead to that position
