In the world of Veritone Attribute, every station must be assigned a 'Location' in the form of a city in order for the system to properly attribute Google Analytics data. By setting a 'Location,' Attribute is able to associate geographical data provided by Google Analytics, such as Web Visits in a specific region, to the appropriate station.
As you import your playout log files, Veritone will automatically detect whether new stations are identified that don't already exist in Veritone. As part of a one time setup, you'll be required to "Set a Google Analytics Location" for each newly identified station.
In the event that you're unable to locate the station's city because it's not supported by Google Analytics, we recommend that you select an adjacent or neighboring city. This will ensure that the station receives credit from the nearest location supported by Google Analytics.
