Veritone Contact users with Reviewer permissions assigned to their account will be authorized to Review, Approve or Deny Reports.
How To Review a RIPA Report
Log into Contact through your agency's custom URL. Use your work email address as the username and your assigned password.
Click on the Badge Icon at the top right corner to access the main Action Menu:
3, Select Review:
This will open the Review page. Here, you can view all Reports that have been submitted for review by your officers.
You will notice 5 categories options listed.
Under Review: All reports submitted by officers will come through in this status
Review Rejected: Reports that have been denied & sent back to the officer
Review Approved: Reports that have been approved
Denied by DOJ: Reports that have been denied by the DOJ
Submitted to DOJ: Reports that have been submitted to the DOJ
To view reports that have been submitted for review, select Under Review:
This will call down a list of all reports that are ready for review.
To the right of each report, select Review:
A report summary will populate allowing you to review the report:
You can also review the report in more detail by selecting the small report icon to the far left of the report. This will allow you to check for any Personal Identifiable Information that could have been inadvertently entered:
How To Approve A Report
To approve a RIPA Report, follow the same process above to navigate to your Review window.
From the Review window, select the green check mark to the right of the report. This will approve the report:
The report status will now show Approved.
How To Deny A Report
To deny a RIPA Report, follow the same process above to navigate to your Review window.
From the Review window, select the red X to the right of the report. This will deny the report:
When denying a report, a box will appear allowing you to provide a brief description of the errors that need to be corrected. This will send a note to the submitting officer, requesting them to make corrections accordingly. Once all errors have been fixed, the officer can re-submit the report for review:
